I’m Christina!
I’m a Chicago-native who is new to the Austin area and I’m excited to be here. I want to introduce myself so you can decide if we would be a good “fit” working together! One of the most important factors contributing to successful therapy is the relationship between the client and therapist, so I hope to give you an idea of what it would be like to work with me.
What is Therapy Like with Me?
My style of therapy is warm and engaging. I wish I could say that I’m a “tough love” kind of person but I’m honestly really more of a loving, supportive, and validate-y person. With that being said, I will invite you to question your thoughts and push you to think about your life in a new way when I think you are missing something.
What will we do?
I would be lying if I said we will never talk about your childhood. Although, I’m not going to make you lay on a couch so I can psychoanalyze you. Instead, I will invite you to do “therapy things” that may push your comfort zone. For example, I might invite you to turn to your partner to share something that has been hard to say, play a silly game with your children, or question thoughts that make you anxious. I find that my clients make greater progress when they are engaged in getting better outside of therapy too. So, if you’re looking for a therapy experience where I magically fix all of your problems with no work from you, unfortunately I’m just not that good!
Timeline
I want to help you move through therapy as efficiently as possible while also keeping in mind that sometimes the work we are trying to do can take a while. My goal is not to change everything about you. Instead, I want to provide you with tools to allow you to create change for yourself.
If there is more you would like to know any more about me, feel free to shoot me an email or give me a call for a 15-minute free consultation.
I would love to help you find the right therapist, even if it’s not me.
When I’m NOT being a therapist I love watching movies with my husband, being a dog mom to Wrigley, cooking and eating food, practicing yoga and being active, and spending time with my family.
