Compassionate Individual and Couples Therapist in Texas and Utah
I’m a Chicago-native currently living in Utah with part of my heart left in Texas. Most of the time I’m a wife and mom and I’m thrilled to provide telehealth services to my clients because it allows all of us more flexibility! I know that finding the right therapist is crucial to your healing journey, so I want to share a bit about myself to help you decide if we’d be a good fit.
My Approach to Therapy
My style of therapy is warm and engaging. I’m loving, supportive, and validating and I also am deeply invested in your progress. I know that change is hard, but I believe all of my clients are extremely resilient. I will invite you to question your thoughts, find self-compassion, and push you to think about your life in a new way when I think you are missing something. My goal for you is to feel seen and understood in our sessions and work through therapy as efficiently as possible so you can go on to live the beautiful live you’re dreaming of.
Therapy with me is not about lying on a couch while I psychoanalyze you. Instead, we will engage in meaningful conversations and practical exercises designed to push your comfort zone and promote real growth. Whether it’s helping you find the courage to express difficult emotions to a loved one, guiding you through anxiety-reducing techniques, or using playful interactions to strengthen family bonds, my approach is hands-on and collaborative. I believe that the real progress happens both inside and outside of our therapy sessions, and I will provide you with the tools to make lasting changes in your everyday life.
I am committed to helping you move through therapy efficiently while respecting that deep emotional work can take time. My focus is not on changing everything about you but on equipping you with the skills to create positive changes for yourself. We will work together to set realistic goals and celebrate each step of your progress.
I currently live in Utah with my husband, two kiddos, and our dog, Wrigley. I love watching movies with my husband, going to parks with my kids and dog, exploring new recipes in the kitchen, staying active through yoga, and spending quality time with my family. My personal interests help me stay grounded and bring a sense of balance and joy into my therapeutic practice.
Choosing the right therapist is a personal decision, and I’d be honored to help you explore your options. If you’re interested in learning more about my approach or discussing how we might work together, feel free to reach out for a free 20-minute consultation. I’m here to help you find the right path to healing, even if that means guiding you toward another therapist who might be a better fit.
